INCOGEN Appoints Don Van Dyke Vice President of Business Development
Brings Extensive Experience and Achievements in Life Science Industry

WILLIAMSBURG, VA.--(BUSINESS WIRE)—May 3, 2004--INCOGEN, Inc. today announced
the appointment of Don Van Dyke as Vice President of Business Development. In
his new role, Van Dyke will be responsible for managing sales, marketing and
strategic commercial relationships for the company’s range of products and
services worldwide.
Van Dyke has been in the Life Science Industry beginning in sales and sales management at American Scientific Products and Dade Diagnostics. He then spent 11 years at Bio Image in several executive positions, ultimately as President and CEO. That company helped produce the first physical map of the Humane Genome and was an early leader in proteomics data analysis. He was VP Sales and Marketing at Molecular Mining Corporation from 2000 to 2003, involved with leading edge technologies in microarray data analysis. Recently he has served as a consultant to several emerging Life Sciences firms and was a consultant to INCOGEN before joining the firm on May 1.
